Your Black Friday Shopping Strategy (For The Disorganized Male)

While many experienced female shoppers wake up early on the morning of Black Friday prepared and ready for the chaotic day, other less-experienced individuals (such as men), wake up later and unprepared. The point of Black Friday is to take advantage of all the sales, however due to all the competition like women - (yes, women will be your competition also as they will be shopping for their boyfriends, family and or guy friends), it becomes hard to or even impossible to get the purchases you as guys want. This is why you have to be a step ahead of your competitors. This is the Black Friday shopping strategy for men:

  1. Do Your Homework: Yes, doing homework sucks and is never something we want to do, however this is a small 10 minute project that will pay dividends. Using websites like BlackFriday.com and DealNews.com are a great way to start constructing your strategy. These two websites offer free shopping apps, plenty of advice regarding Black Friday shopping, and will get you in the right mindset for shopping.

  2. Use the Evernote App to build your lists: Not everyone has an elephants brain. That’s where the organizational savvy app Evernote comes in. Create charts, lists, and share your shopping lists and strategy amongst your friends and family. Since Evernote has a synching function, you can synch your notes to your laptop, desktop computer, and you can even have your friends edit your documents and vice versa.

  3. Get some sleep: A huge takeaway from the previous Black Friday’s is that shoppers will get up extremely early to beat the massive lineups. How early? Shoppers have been known to get up as early as 3AM to get in line at 4:30AM. Therefore, go for an intense run the night before and tire yourself out. You’ll need to go to bed early in order to get up early the next morning, and most importantly: To be able to function properly the next day.

  4. Bring a girl: While girls are your competition, teaming up with them will definitely help you shop more efficiently and effectively on Black Friday. The reason being is that they’re shopping veterans; they’re extremely organized as lots of them have probably prepared weeks before hand by building lists of their stores that have the sales, while cross referencing by their clothing products by colour and size and all of this crazy hyper-organized stuff.

Well guys, what do you think about this list? Do you feel you're ready to tackle the busiest shopping day of the year? Comment below to let us know.
