Whether you are celebrating Christmas, Kwanzaa or Hanukkah this holiday, there's going to be something for you in Vancouver this month. Here are 5 things we think you should check out!
1. Vancouver Christmas Market (Queen Elizabeth Plaza)
This will be the 5th Vancouver Christmas Market and it will be held until December 24th. This German style Chrismas market features local and international food, artisan stores and local music shows. Come try the fresh maple on snow from Maple’s Sugar Shack, shop local woodcrafts from The Woodman or hop on the Christmas Carousel!
2. Peak of Christmas (Grouse Mountain)
Grouse Mountain has created a mini-north pole. Come see Santa’s workshop, reindeers (real ones!), the Gingerbread Village and Santa himself. The slopes are also open for skiing or snowboarding, and there is a Christmas themed outdoor rink to skate on.
3. Festival of Lights (VanDusen Botanical Garden)
VanDusen has transformed their garden in to a winter wonderland for from now to Dec 25th. You can see Dancing Light shows to gnome performances. There is also a Santa photo booth and Christmas themed food and beverages.
The annual Robson Square public rink is open until February. Skating is free if you bring your own skates and they also offer rentals for anyone who requires skate. You can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while you dart your way around the rink (just make you don’t fall and spill your hot drink on someone!). Located right in Downtown, Robson. There are plenty of stores, restaurants and bars nearby you can check out before or after.
